Wallace Farm is a family owned and operated business that has been in existence for more than 50 years. Originating as a dairy cattle operation in the early 1940's, Wallace Farm functioned as one of the largest dairy farms in the state of North Carolina until 1990. During this time, other opportunities arose, and the Wallace family decided to diversify by leasing the dairy facilities and taking a place in the soil and compost industry.

Unfortunately, in the North Carolina soil and compost industry, there are very few regulatory standards in existence for monitoring the quality of products being sold. In other words, any type of material can be put into a bag, labeled, and sold. As I'm sure you have experienced, many times a product line of topsoil, composted cow manure, potting soil, etc., will all be the same material. Therefore, I would strongly encourage you to inspect the material and know what you are buying. You can rest assured that Wallace Farm will never take part in this type of behavior.
